Rippa Rugby! The game for all primary schools kids!

Rippa is a very safe, non-contact, easy to play game for both boys and girls alike. Best of all it's fun and exciting for all involved.

TRFU Rugby Development staff will be visiting all primary and intermediate schools early in the year to promote Rippa Rugby. We are also available to run a few practice sessions to make sure that schools understand and enjoy Rippa Rugby.

TRFU have been running a Rippa Rugby competition at Yarrow Stadium for the last three years. This has been a lot of fun and with the final being played on the main ground before the main game the involvement of the kids has been awesome. Lepperton Primary is our current Rippa Rugby Champion and have been for the last three years.
We are looking at running maybe three or four Rippa Rugby tournaments around our province with the top four from each tournament to come to Yarrow Stadium for the final tournament.

The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn.  Rippa Rugby promotes excellent ball handling and running skills, and gives all kids a chance to participate in our national game.

So come on Taranaki kids, let's give Rippa Rugby a go.
